Of the two syrahs that we are offering this spring, the White Hawk is the easiest to enjoy right now. It is dense, chocolate-y and rich, yet not heavy or ponderous in any way. This wine seems like a contradiction-it is so concentrated, yet light on its feet. It is certainly drinkable now, but will benefit enormously from aging for a few more years. Very sleek tannins in the finish are beautifully integrated.
