May Staff Pick: MEET MIKAELA! Mikaela is our Dire May Staff Pick: MEET MIKAELA!Mikaela is our Direct to Consumer manager. She takes care of the tasting room, creates and facilitates our events, and has recently started managing our wine club. She’s been with us for 6 years now, after starting her career in fine dining, honing her skills as a sommelier. She’s also a terrific hand on the crushpad when needed. When she’s off the clock, she loves hanging at the beach with her family, friends, and her dogs Otis and Tutti (who you might meet when you come in).  She tastes and curates the menu for every wine we pour downtown – so when Mikaela recommends something, it’s worth listening to! “The 2023 Fe Ciega Pinot Noir is easily one of my favorite wines we make. To me, the 2023 Fe Ciega really shows off the vineyard in the best way. Each sip moves through bright red fruit, a little spice, and fresh herbs, which reminds me of the winding, scenic drive up to the site. It’s super easy to enjoy on its own, but also really shines with food. My favorite way to drink it is while cooking dinner, snacking on some cheese, and then sharing a glass with my husband over something simple like roasted chicken and Spanish rice. We are currently pouring this wine at our tasting room, so if you’re in town, come enjoy it on the flight or by itself in a glass!”

After discovering Xarel·lo at a small wine bar in After discovering Xarel·lo at a small wine bar in Atlanta last spring, Adam came home inspired to make one of our own. Known mostly as a blending grape in Spain’s Cava, Xarel·lo is rare to see on its own, especially in California.Our very first release is bright, textured, and completely unique, with layered fruit, fresh salinity, and incredible energy in the glass. Only three barrels were made, and as far as we know, there’s nothing else quite like it in California.Now available at the tasting room and online!
