Meet Vermentino—the grape that unites even the fie Meet Vermentino—the grape that unites even the fiercest wine loyalists. Yes, the “I only drink Chardonnay” and “I only drink Sauvignon Blanc” crowds met in the middle on this one. Both agreed: Vermentino is delicious. It’s a more adventurous grape variety, not often bottled in California, but we’ve found a great spot for it at Camp 4 Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley. It’s juicy, bright, refreshing, expressive, and there’s a kiss from the California Sunshine that gives it just the perfect amount of ripeness.
