Adam has always spoken about his time in Burgundy with such fondness, not just for the winemaking, but for the people, the culture, and the unforgettable experiences. He often laughs when he tells the story of how he and Jim Clendenen spent their entire harvest paycheck on one spectacular meal. He says it was worth every cent!We hope Jack finds those same unforgettable moments, returns with new knowledge, great stories, and a deeper appreciation for the craft.In the meantime, we’ll be holding down the fort here in Ojai and look forward to welcoming him back after harvest. By removing some of the fruit now, we’re helping the vines focus their energy on the remaining clusters, encouraging better flavor development, healthier vines, and improved airflow to reduce disease pressure.A little less fruit now means better grapes at harvest and ultimately, better wine.#organic #vineyard #hybrid
