This year we made two syrahs
that are created from a blend of vineyards. The Santa Barbara
County blend will be out in the fall and is obviously made from
Santa Barbara County grapes. This California blend contains the
Roll Ranch fruit (Ventura County) that did not make it into the
vineyard designated wine, with some Bien Nacido to give it acidity,
and Vogelzang for viscosity and intensity. Amazingly seductive
already, the aromas are charming, the flavors soft and voluptuous.
There is no reason to wait to drink this one.
